Katie & Chauncey Franklin tied the knot at the University Club Atop Symphony Towers in downtown San Diego in late December, 2008.
The the black furniture & linens combined with the spectacular view made for a very dramatic ceremony & reception.
Check out the amazing view of San Diego from the cocktail area!
Here's Chauncey with the minister Terrell and his men getting ready for the ceremony. Bridesmaids Joyce, Geri, Michelle & Rachel looking beautiful and ready to stand by Katie.
Wedding Planner Cynthia Z. Blase described the evening:
Katie's father is deceased so her four brothers walked her down the aisle and also did a brother-sister dance instead of a father-daughter. We had three of the brothers stationed at increments down the aisle. One brought her in and led her to the first brother in the aisle and then fell in behind. When Katie got to the front, she therefore had one brother on her arm and three behind her. Earl Thomas also sang, with the harpist playing, Etta James' "At Last" as she walked down the aisle and it was amazing. Not a dry eye. For the brother-sister dance, they all took turns dancing with her and then at the end, formed a circle around her and all danced with her together. It was beautiful. Also, the decor got even more amazing as the sun set. The room became a glow of candlelight and was stunning.
Congratulations to Katie & Chauncey on your long and happy life together, just in time for the new year!
