I recently took a fabulous vacation with friends and among the places we went was Costa Del Sol in Southern Spain. From there we decided to take a day tour to Gibraltar off the southern tip of Spain. I wasn't the best student in history or geography and learned a lot that day.
I had no idea that Gibraltar is a British overseas territory and that you need to show your passport to go there! (or get a visa, depending on the circumstances on your arrival). It was wet and rainy while we were there, quite reminiscent of London!
What I was very surprised about is that Gibraltar is actually a popular wedding destination! Apparently the weather is usually quite nice and we had arrived two days after one of their worst storms. Here is a shot of a happy bride that I took when we first arrived:
While we were on our tour, I discovered that John & Yoko Ono were married in Gibraltar, March 20, 1969 at the British Consulate.

Some days doesn't a destination wedding seem so appealing and romantic????
